Capitol Broadcasting Company, Inc. (CBC) is a diversified communications company which owns and/or operates 17 different television and radio stations, as well as Wolfpack Sports Properties and the Durham Bulls Triple A baseball club in the Raleigh-Durham and Wilmington, NC areas. The company’s legacy of hard work, creativity, and a commitment to their audiences, clients, and employees has made them a successful broadcasting company and industry leader in the communications field.
With so many media subsidiaries, CBC needed to cultivate a unique brand for each entity while maintaining their overall vision. Radio stations aimed at different demographics, sports teams, real estate ventures and television stations… pairing up unique brands for each while making them all word together under the CBC family brand was a tall order, but one we were eager to take on.
Using our experience in dealing with Top 100 brands, we focused on the vertical markets represented by each unique media channel. Working with their CBC’s General Manager Brian Maloney, our creative team got to work crafting new print and digital imagery that seamlessly married the vision of CBC with each media subsidiary.
The result was a fresh new look that adhered to their overarching principles and corporate vision.
